Breaking Boundaries
Women entrepreneurs often face a hard time making themselves known or heard because of gender stereotyping. More so when one is in an industry that is male dominated. Yunquan Qin, a chief self defence instructor of Kapap Academy Singapore, will share how she has challenged the traditional roles associated with her gender, break boundaries and redefine what empowerment means to people. From an anorexic victim, to the recipient of the Queen’s Young Leaders award 2017, Yunquan will share her journey as first, a lady self defence instructor and second, a social entrepreneur of a top leading self defence school in Singapore.
