Those looking for a healthy and light meal will definitely love this zesty buckwheat salad recipe.
This nutrient-dense salad is excellent for lunch or dinner, to accompany your meals. Containing fruity flavours, this salad activates the gastric juices in the stomach, which help in greater digestion and absorption of nutrients.
The main star of this recipe is buckwheat – which can be an alternative to rice and is claimed to be the world’s healthiest foods for its nutritious and energising qualities. The grain is nutrient rich, containing high levels of all nine essential amino acids, including iron, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and rutin. Moreover, diets containing buckwheat come with numerous health benefits and have been linked to lowered risk of developing high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Additionally, buckwheat aids in the prevention of gallstones, better blood sugar control, and protection against breast cancer with health-promoting potential higher than that of vegetables and fruits.
You can begin by incorporating the detoxifying grain into your diet by producing a gluten-free, vegan buckwheat salad recipe. Here’s an easier way to include it in your diet.
