5 Reasons To Hire A Professional For Your Newborn Photos Part 2

In Part 1 we talked about the first three main reasons why you should hire a professional for your little bundle’s photos, today we’re topping off with the last two reasons. That’s five good reasons to buy the cutest pictures you’ll ever have of your babe, need I say more?

4. Safety And Comfort Of Your Newborns

Just because you are a parent, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you know what’s best for a newborn baby during a photo session. Just like a great heart surgeon does not need to have a heart problem to be a surgeon, a professional photographer will know the best environment for a newborn, from the temperature of the room to the sound, to which size of bowl to put a baby in, the texture of the fabric and wraps used, to a pose that will not hurt your newborn.

This should be of utmost importance! Not all amateur photographers know how to pose your newborn safely, as they don’t have proper training or years of experience in working with newborns.

5. Clients’ Experience

All professional photographers will care about what their clients think of their studio and their work. They care so much that they will put in a lot of effort into creating a very pleasant experience for the clients. From the decoration of their studio, to the pantry they set up, to getting the clients to relax while the shoot is ongoing, to coming back to view the photographs.

As the age-old saying goes, “you get what you pay for”, there is so much more to creating an artistic photograph than just pushing a button on a nice camera. Such photography is definitely not for everyone; it can be considered as a luxury. If you decide to have your baby’s photos taken professionally, please be urged to see the true value of hiring a true professional and appreciate that what you pay for is what you will get back: a reassurance that everything is well taken care of and safe for your precious baby.

I do understand that everyone has to start somewhere. I am not trying to have a ‘bash’ at amateurs (as I started as an amateur, too) but there is a difference between an amateur declaring their experience accordingly and informing clients that they are just starting out and training, and one whose charges are cheap and just tries poses with no regards to the safety and comfort of your vulnerable newborns.

For all the parents out there, treasure this beautiful moment in your life - let a professional bring out the cuteness and beauty of your newborn and let this memory last for years to come, for you and your descendants.

If you decide to hire a professional photographer, the next step would be for you to sieve through the various photographers’ portfolios and decide for yourself which style of photography you prefer. There are many talented newborn photographers here in Singapore, as well as all over the globe. Enjoy the world of creativity that we bring to you!
