What do you think is the most significant contribution Filipino Women make to the country?
That above anything else, women are as capable as men— that we are just as passionate, just as hardworking, just as driven. There is no such thing as “Girl Power”—it’s just power—abilities and innate skill equally given to both men and women. Therefore, gender is neither an obstacle nor an influential factor, to realizing a person’s dreams.
What’s your best advice for Filipino women to achieve success?
When you set your mind on reaching a goal, every hurdle you conquer becomes gold: a learning experience you will not see in books and theories. Principles can only take you so far; you have to take the first step, jump off and witness what happens for yourself. So when you desire something, run after it. Don’t wait on other people. Lead the way.
