Dr. Liu Thai Ker
Senior Director, RSP Architects Planners & Engineers (Pte) Ltd Chairman, Centre for Liveable Cities

Dr Liu Thai Ker, a renowned architect-planner, was Chief Architect & CEO of Housing & Development Board, 1975-1989 where he saw the completion of over half a million dwelling units. He was Chief Planner & CEO of Urban Redevelopment Authority, 1989-1992 for which he spearheaded the major revision of the Singapore Concept Plan 1991. Dr Liu is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Golden Jubilee Award and The Singapore Institute of Planners Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award (2015).

Shailesh Rao, Board director, JLL

Shailesh Rao has been a Director of JLL since September 2013. A highly regarded digital expert, he is the former Vice President for Asia Pacific, Latin America and Emerging Markets at Twitter and Managing Director of Google India. Rao earned the prestigious Google Founder’s Award for his role in the development of Google Maps and Google Earth and also played a leadership role in the growth of Google’s YouTube business.

Tom Miller, Author and senior analyst, Gavekal Research

Tom Miller is an author and senior analyst at Gavekal Research, a global independent research firm based in Hong Kong. After studying at Oxford and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London, Tom spent 14 years in Beijing. His latest book, China’s Asian Dream: Empire Building Along the New Silk Road, was published in February 2017. He is regularly quoted in international media and has appeared on the BBC, CNN and CNBC.

Rafiq Jumabhoy, Managing principal, Orkney Investments

Rafiq is currently managing principal of Orkney Investments; an international advisory firm focused on strategy and project implementation in real estate and related service-based businesses and family businesses. Rafiq has over 35 years of senior management experience on an international level as CEO, board member of various Singapore government entities, senior adviser to corporate and government-linked clients across the region as well as private equity firms and MNCs operating regionally.
