#ConnectedWomen – Cebu, Philippines – November 22 (Event)

On November 22, 2017, we launched our second Connected Women #SheMeansBusiness Philippines event at Cityscape Hotel, Cebu City and we were not disappointed!

Connected Women’s programme objective is to increase the economic participation of women in the Philippines through entrepreneurship and the adoption of technology for business success.

With this mission in mind, we are launching 10 events in 10 cities across the Philippines through 2018.

Last October, we launched our first event in Davao City. A month after, we launched our second event in Cebu City! Here are some of the insights from the Connected Women Cebu launch, in partnership with #SheMeansBusiness

Event Agenda and Speakers

In line with the Connected Women mission, the event goal was to train women entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to use Facebook and Instagram to grow their business.

Chris Kuzhuppilly, PH Policy Programs Manager, revealed the statistics on why Filipinas should be using social media for their businesses.

Professor Aries Patawaran, the Lead Trainer for #SheMeansBusiness in the Philippines, delivered training content about Online Marketing, Facebook Pages and Admin Tools, and Content Rules.

Gina Romero, Co-Founder of Connected Women, shared her unconventional journey and how entrepreneurship has been a part of her life since her early teens.

Attendee Demographics

Our attendees were 20 to 55-year-old women entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs who live in Cebu City.
