What do you think is the most significant contribution Filipino Women make to the country?

The ability to bring back the human element to every situation is FIlipino Women’s most significant contribution to the country. More than providing logical plans to solve problems, FIlipinas execute solutions with compassion and ensure that no one is left behind, felt injustice and disrespected. The solutions FIlipinas make are not always grandiose, but because we tap into the hearts and minds of our community that makes our impact more powerful and inclusive.

What’s your best advice for Filipino women to achieve success?

Always listen. There is power in listening to understand than listening to respond. I’ve learned through my years of living outside the Philippines, that FIlipina women have a super power to put themselves in someone else’s shoes in order to understand and support them better. As human beings, we feel so much that we are always triggered to solve problems right away, but a FIlipina woman will listen, step back and work towards a long-term plan than a band-aid solution.
