What do you think is the most significant contribution Filipino Women make to the country?
Often the go-to-persons and the fixers of problems, we, the Filipino Women are always there to support and enable others to navigate through challenging times. We smile though we’re exhausted, we cheer others up, and resourcefully solve challenges.
Our selflessness is a great example to many, and demonstrated consistently, we inspire people around us to be a blessing to others.
What’s your best advice for Filipino women to achieve success?
A Chinese proverb says that the greatest leaders are those who discipline themselves. In order to be successful, you need to put in hard work consistently. This is of course easier said than done, because no matter how determined you are, you will be challenged and hurt. Setbacks happen, and they could bring you down.
There will be mornings when you won’t spring out of bed excited for the day. When energy is down, remind yourself about your reasons for doing what you do. By remembering your why, you’d find the courage to get up, and when you do, don’t just show up, make your presence count. It’s the only way that you’d truly succeed— to be there 100% in the moment.
