Level Up Your Mid-Day Snack With Omega Power Bombs

Packed with healthy omegas (essential fatty acids) and protein, these power bombs are perfect for a quick snack.

This recipe is gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free as well. What’s great about this recipe is that you can have fun with substitutions – nut butter, ground nuts and seeds, and dried fruits and spices.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sunflower seed butter
  • ⅓ cup raw honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Sea salt
  • 1 cup roll oats
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened desiccated coconut
  • 2 tsp. five spice
  • ⅓ cup flax and chia seed mix
  • ¼ cup chopped dried apricots (unsulphured) and unsweetened cranberries
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate nibs

Instructions

  1. Stir first four ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, combining together well.
  3. Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes or so, then roll into balls or as desired.

These freeze well, and can be stored for up to three weeks in the fridge.
