The Price Of A Cheap Logo Design

A logo design for just $5 to $200?

How wonderful is a cheap logo design! But is it really?

It could be wonderful for a business owner who knows exactly what they’re getting into with a cheap logo designer, and doesn’t mind.

Not so wonderful for a business owner who gets sucked into the “price is cheap” vortex, yet expects to receive a bespoke logo design that looks like a million bucks.

But the truth is, neither has ‘won’.

What does it really cost you when you engage with a cheap logo designer?

1. Your logo will be mediocre.

Our process of logo design looks like this:

  • Design brief
  • Research & discovery
  • Sketching & conceptualizing
  • Review & refine

Will a quality designer invest their time in a full and thorough process to create a bespoke design for a few hundred dollars?

2. Your business will be perceived as low quality and cheap, too.

Well, you did pay only $5 for your logo…

3. You’ll attract the wrong clientele.

If your business images sends the wrong message, you can be sure that you’ll attract the wrong crowd.

4. First impressions are priceless.

But the cheap logo design has cost you that opportunity.

I get it – it’s completely logical and natural for business owners to want to reduce costs and control expenditure, while maximizing sales revenues. However, there are certain decisions you should not make based solely on price, and one of them is the fate of your business brand and image.

The lean business approach is fantastic, and something I subscribe to, but be aware that sometimes you must “spend the money to make the money”. A cheap logo design doesn’t always translate to quality logo design.
