Woolf Works Wednesday: Mindfulness – June 10
Contributed by Michaela Anchan May 10, 2015
Woolf Works Wednesdays are always a great way to meet the women (and men are also welcome!) of our wider community – we are a diverse and creative bunch! We are also friendly so please feel free to come along on your own or with a group of friends.
Join us for a very special Woolf Works Wednesday this month. We will learn about and discuss the Mindfulness Framework – an amazing tool for governance of country, the business world and of the self.
We will also discuss a Bhutan trip which Khatiza is guiding in October and I would love a small team from our Woolf Works community to get involved with!
We will have the usual wine and great snacks available for your reasonable ticket price. Please join our last social session before many leave for summer holidays!
More about our evening:
In these VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) times, is a “Pause for Reflection” considered a luxury or a necessity?
In the midst of constant challenges, how do we:
- Inspire ourselves as individuals to sustain our values through mindful practices?
- Empower ourselves as cohesive team members through the habits of mindful team leadership?
- Engage in social responsibility that creates the ripple effect of mindfulness in communities?
A Mindful Happiness Learning Session
Join us for an evening session of learning and exploring the Values and Practices of Mindful Happiness as it applies in Bhutan and as you would interpret it for yourself.
The learning session is a first level understanding of the values and practices that help strengthen one’s mindful self-leadership development and explore how it may create the ripple effect of Mindful Happiness. Learning Journeystakes place in Bhutan, the ancient Himalayan Kingdom with a unique development philosophy – Gross National Happiness – which seeks to foster sustainable economic development, guided by a structured approach to collective human development.
